WRONG.
adding salt RAISES the boiling point of water. it allows it to reach a higher temp and reduce cooking time.

It doesn't RAISE it....it brings it to its boiling point FASTER. Higher temp? Now you're making stuff up.

what do you think adding salt to ice does? what do you think would happen if you used regular water instead of antifreeze which has a higher boiling point and lower freezing temp?
