Yup. Our fridge we had at the last house had the spin-on charcoal filter thingie. Taste/smell of water is the same out of both the jug, and your typical in-fridge filtration.

Nope, several of my neighbors houses far surpass mine in value. Merril Mahaffey paid five and a quarter for 1100sqft 6 houses east of me, across the street.

And then, he ripped up the driveway along the side of teh house behind the gate, and put in a lap pool. Now the stupid mofo has to drive around and down the alley to get to the garage. He often just parks in teh driveway. Drives a BubbleJay as a matter of fact. Has a stupid yippy dog smaller than my cats. I don't care for his landscapes either of which the museum has a few on exhibit.
