Perhaps the fact he, was one of the first few underground white boys who went big by selling 11 million records in 16 weeks, ****ed Madonna - was in her book for ****ing her and appeared in a few Hollywood productions, had something to do with the network's choice.

I haven't seen the show. Does he live up to "If there was a problem yo I'll solve it." in his renovation show?




Joking aside, I wouldn't complain if a home renovation show approached me with a substantial offer to televise subject matter skills.

I like it. Long, long ago (way before DIY and HGTV were popular), I read an article about him that said after his music career had started to slow down, he really got into real estate...investing, remodeling, etc. Somebody put two and two together and figured that it might make a good show...Im sure he loves the attention, and no doubt the network loves having him host the show. Win-win for both parties. He seems to know what is going on, although he does act like a goof, and liberally uses the word bro.
