Way to repair cracked PVC pipe?

Part of my sink drain. Tore the wallboard out and there is a big crack at the seam of a 3" pipe. I'm thinking some roofing patch or tape of some sort until I can get a plumber to fix it right. But it would be nice if there was something out there that would fix it for good.

Slather some PVC cement on it. Obviously the best way is to cut the damaged section out and replace it but it's a drain line so just cementing it will most likely be a good fix.

they make a wrap for pipes that you activate the glue with water, wrap the pipe, then it dries hard and solid. It works great for the old metal pipes, but it would work for pvc, too.

takes 5 minutes and it's a permanent fix. COsts aboot $5

Cut a section of thin walled PVC pipe, open and slip over damaged pipe. Apply solvent cement around damaged area, slide it down and wrap up.

Ok its ABS pipe I found out. 3 coats of ABS cement and all is well.

I have some kind of tape the guy at Lowes sold me I may apply just in case. What a freaking mess, its going to take weeks to dry out I think. Was a massive leak. My wife found it by the stench coming from under the sink.

So buy the proper parts to fix it in a permenant fashion.

Or tear the house down and build anew.
