Should you tip freight delivery drivers?

So when ordering things that are too big for UPS and get delivered by freight drivers, is that guy expecting a tip? It's never a question with UPS/FedEx/etc. because they're already gone before you can even answer the doorbell. But a freight driver has to actually cart the damn thing out of the truck, wheel it into the garage and get a signature. Does he normally get a tip?

This is why the entire concept of tipping just sucks.

if he looks like a hard worker and doesn't complain i might offer them a coke or something on a hot day. nothing more.
The truck drivers who show up for LTL or full trailers out here we'll offer soda or something.

Depends on what they deliver and how far they go...I was dating a guy who had an engine delivered and the guy brought it into the garage, checked it and went above and beyond...he tipped him $20.
