Crash...yes. Mishap...most likely not. I'm pretty sure i've heard of one mishap involving a B-2. There are different classes of mishap (A, B, C, if memory serves me correctly) that escalate based on the dollar figure of the damgage involved and whether or not there were any injuries or deaths as a result of the mishap.
It could have been another aircraft, but I want to say there was a B-2 jacked up for repairs and a maintainer failed to lock down one of the landing gear, causing the aircraft to kiss the ground (when it was lowered).
Yeah, the gear failure (or should I say crew chief failure) happened when I was still at Whiteman. The QA guy inspecting the job and one of the maintainers were injured pretty bad if I remember correctly.
Nothing beats the stupidity of this one though:

The crew in this mishap all lived, but the airplane was ruined. They were returning to base heavy with fuel because of an engine problem, but on the approach the pilots and crew failed to recognize that they retarded an operable engine instead of the faulty one. The result: They failed to reach the runway using only two engines.
Methinks there's just a tad bit of hyperbole in this statement. On the other hand, since nobody can truly explain why a flying wing doesn't just fall out of the sky, and the whole bird is 'fly-by-wire' like an Airbus, an electronic glitch can easily screw-up the control surfaces.
I believe the official story was that the turd driving dropped his cell phone and was fishing around for it on the floor.Wasn't the driver getting a BJ? At least that's the story I heard...
Edit: Here's the animation on the Dover C-5 crash. I don't think this was supposed to be released...For Official Use Only. I guess it doesn't get any more official than the internets
.

For the B-2? There's a crappy video online that just shows a plume of smoke (not even worth linking it).Theres a link to a video, but I can't get it to play. Did they yank it?
But we got the Warranty Gold extended protection plan for that aircraft :redfrown: .the B-2 is 25 years old...what do you expect?
Nope it's a stick...sidestick actuator = pilot.
i guess, in this case it would be the "yoke actuator" since the B-2 has a yoke.

The Internets are serious bidness.
Is that light blue line pointing towards the runway in the video the 'proper' glide slope they were supposed to be on?![]()
America's entire B-2 stealth bombing fleet, which has played a crucial part in all major conflicts since 1999, has been grounded after one of the jets crashed near a military base in Guam.
Some "unnamed source" will leak the cause to the press soon enough.Damn it we have a JUOTer who is from Guam and for the some branch of the Miliarty. I would think he would have some insight.
