George Haskins' normally fish-hook shaped mega-moustache would qualify only for the freestyle category, so George straightened it out and entered the English moustache division, where he succeeded in taking second place at his first World Beard and Moustache Championships in Brighton in 2007. George hopes to move higher up the podium at the next worlds, to be held in his home state. George lives in Fairbanks, a mere 358 miles (573 km) down the road from Anchorage.
