The Battle

Turn captured enemies into an archer or soldier for your next battle. The game will offer strategy advice if you're having a tough time beating a level.

Levels and Game Modes

Cartoon Defense offers 8 kinds of weapons, 17 characters, unlimited levels, and 3 difficulty modes. Music is fun and motivating and blood is moderate; both can be turned off. Your game is always auto-saved, so you have the option to return where you left off, or start a new game.

The early levels should be no problem

Traffic Jam

Most of the time, rush hour is--to say the least--no fun for all involved. But not when you're talking about Rush Hour, the classic puzzle game that has gone from an awkward plastic board to awesome digital app in this incredibly addicting game for Android.

OK, this is a problem

The concept couldn't be simpler. You are the red car. A rainbow-hued variety of automobiles block your path to the exit. Honking your horn won't help. You're going to have to figure out how to slide the cars around in such a way as to clear your path. (No, smashing into them is not an option.)

Road Rage

The first few rounds on the Easy setting are like a drive in the country, with just a few cars in sight. Move up to the Medium setting and the traffic starts to get a little thicker. By the time you reach the Hard and Expert levels, the board looks like a driver's worst nightmare.

As impossible as those levels seem, however, there really is a solution for each one--you just might have to spend three hours trying to find it. If you get frustrated, you can take advantage of the Hints button or the Solve option. No sense blowing a gasket.

Changing Lanes

Need a bigger challenge? A number at the top of the screen shows the absolute minimum amount of moves required to get you out of the jam for that round. So you have two options: Keep playing the same round, shooting for perfection, or just be happy to escape with your sanity intact and move on to the next puzzle.

This is the perfect game to have on your Android device if you ever get stuck on a desert island (hopefully with a solar-powered charger). It includes a mind-boggling 625 puzzles at each level. That's right, a whopping total of 2,500 challenges in all. If you thought getting through your daily commute was hard, it will seem like an open road compared to beating the traffic in Rush Hour.
