Take the Ball Game Out to You
It's easy to navigate the many features of this app. The screen opens to a Major League Baseball scoreboard listing the day's games. From there you can go straight to a particular game's coverage by touching a matchup on the screen, or select any of several other options ( News, Standings, Videos, Teams, At the Ballpark, Profile, Settings, and Information) by touching the Home icon in the menu.
Follow Your Favorite Team

Watch high-quality live video and game highlights
Video Highlights and Full MLB.TV Games
See clear, high-quality video highlights from every MLB game moments after the action has happened. You can access highlights from the app's Videos section, or simply touch any matchup on the scoreboard or team listing in the app to see the hottest plays.
If you're an MLB.TV subscriber, you can access your account to watch live out-of-market games or the Free Game of the Day. That's right--as am MLB.TV subscriber, you can watch any out-of-market game in its entirety, right from your Android device.
(MLB.TV subscription is a paid service, and the cost is not included in the price of this app. To access MLB.TV features, Android devices require a minimum OS of 2.2 and Flash.)
Use ballpark maps to locate food, drinks, restrooms, and more
Chillin' at the Ballpark
Still, let's face it: nothing can top seeing a Major League Baseball game in person. MLB.com At Bat 11 makes the ballpark experience even cooler by showing you what fun features your ballpark has to offer, and where you can find them.
Detailed, level-by-level maps of every MLB stadium make it simple to find your seating section in advance. By touching any of the icons at the bottom of the screen, you'll be able to locate concessions stands, restrooms, ATMs, information booths, and other important ballpark destinations.
Even better, you can see the full menu for any concession stand just by finding it on the map and touching its icon. Whether you're in the mood for a refreshing drink, a classic ballpark hot dog, or a local specialty (such as Seattle's famous Garlic Fries), this app will make it incredibly easy for you to find it.
Once you're at the game, check in to the ballpark to unlock bonus features and expanded video highlights for the game you're attending. Check-in begins two hours before gametime, so you've got plenty of time to get settled in before the first pitch.
Listen to audio broadcasts of any MLB game
Gameday Audio
One of the coolest aspects of MLB.com At Bat 11 is its audio feature. You can listen to any game in the majors--even your home team's games that are subject to video blackout--as it happens.
Being able to access an audio broadcast for any game you wish is like an old-timer's dream come true. There's a deep, in-the-marrow pleasure in hearing a seasoned baseball broadcaster rattle off the play-by-play for your favorite team, and this app's overall audio quality is quite good.
It's easy to listen to a game in progress: Just choose a matchup on the scoreboard, press and hold your finger on that listing, and the Gameday Audio player will pop up. You'll usually have a choice between a few different radio stations, so you can listen to your favorite team's broadcasters rather than the opposition's (which, as any hometown fan knows, is a pretty big deal).
Follow any game pitch-by-pitch
Onscreen Coverage
If you'd rather follow the game's action without listening to an audio broadcast, you can touch a matchup on the scoreboard and open MLB.com Gameday coverage. This brings up a screen that shows a graphic image of a player at bat. Whenever a pitch is thrown, its speed and location are tracked onscreen and shown in relation to the batter's stance. It's a cool way to represent the on-the-field action without actually seeing it happen, and it's visually easy to follow.
At the top of this screen are five tabs which offer various ways to enjoy the game. The graphic pitch-by-pitch coverage is under the Game tab, which always opens first. A Box tab shows the updated box score for the game in progress, and a Field tab shows a bird's eye view of the home field, including the dimensions, position players, and who's currently on base. A Plays tab offers a written description of each play, updated moments after each pitch and nicely organized for easy readability.
Finally, a Videos tab features video highlights from the game. Although it can't replace seeing a game in its entirety, this is a terrific way to see actual footage of the game's big moments.
Big-League Options
Even if you're not interested in following a game in progress, MLB.com At Bat 11 offers plenty of ways to stay up on the league's current happenings. By pressing your Android device's Menu button and then touching the Home icon, you'll find a number of options that offer great, up-to-date information.
The Standings option shows a clear breakdown of the current league standings, subdivided into Divisional and Wild Card tabs. Selecting the Videos option reveals a listing of featured video highlights from around the league, updated as the day goes on. Similarly, the News option brings up MLB.com headlines that are kept up to date; each headline includes a brief summary and a link to the detailed story.
The Settings option is also worth checking out. Using this, you can set the app to highlight your favorite team, control such functional details as the scoreboard's and widget's refresh rate, and sign in to your MLB.com account.
