Name some funny "conservative' comedians

Miller would tell you that he's conservative.
he'd tell you he's independent. he is a regular contributor for foxnews though.

i can't name a lot of funny conservative comedians b/c the funniest comedians don't let their political alignment define them and be the topic of all of their jokes. i can however name a LOT of completely talentless un-funny liberal comedians...

comedians who have no other material except for bashing bush are not that funny. just like black comedians who have no other material except for talking about how black people are victimized and white people can't dance.

but i could care less what the political affiliation is of a particular comedian.

people who thing someone is not funny because they are offended by their viewpoints need to /self
You must remember, comedy is very subjective. Some find frat humor funny, others find intellectual comedy stimulating. You can't just blanket statement say "people who thing someone is not funny because they are offended by their viewpoints need to /self ". Typically someone's viewpoint is going to reflect in their standup, though not always.

I do see what you are getting at though. Take the Dixie Chicks for example. Their music doesn't touch much on politics, but when they stated an opinion of Bush, their audience struck back. It is difficult for many to enjoy the work of someone, when they know they are spending money listening to someone that has very different beliefs. That isn't wrong IMO.

I highly doubt anyones stadn up act talks solely about bush.

sure sounds closed minded to me.

Which part, being subjective or not funding someone who don't agree with?
not liking someone such as a comedian or musician because of they political beliefs. Politicians I can understand. I know some nice Jehovah's witness people, I don't hate them because their ideals differ from my own. To use your example, if you really enjoy Dixie Chix music and you stop listening to them because of some political comment than you have a problem.

if you stop listening to a musician b/c you find out they have a certain political affiliation or differing opinions than you it is one thing. if they constantly push their opinions and rants down your throat and it gets in the way of you being able to enjoy them for their music, i can see how people would no longer want to support them and they are welcome to do so.

That is your opinion though and that itself is subjective. Osama Bin Laden could have one hell of a standup routine. He could be performing at the Comedy Store and even though his comedy was the funniest stuff ever said, I wouldn't pay to see the guy. Why not? Because he would use the money in ways I don't agree with. He would use his fame to his advantage, using it as a soapbox to spread his hate. Sure, he may not mention Al-Qaeda even once during his set, but we all know what his interests are.

There comes a point in life where we all must take a stand and sometimes that is just a simple boycot based on convictions. If a person doesn't agree with the viewpoints of another, then not funding them is the simplest and most effective way they can have their say.

One heluva strawman there rich! I do heart the extreme examples people will use to make a point on JU. lol

I understand what you're saying, most people are just too quick to throw up walls. I hate so and so cause their a liberal or vice versa.

Not extreme, just clear. To many people, the liberal lifestyle is just as threatening to our life as Al-Qaeda. Likewise, many people feel that being a Conservative is just as harmful. I know you are trolling, which is irritating because you tend to start good discussions that end up with you just grasping for a troll and ruining the discussion.

I don't think all people are too quick, they have just lived long enough to cut through the BS. If someone lives their personal life in a way they don't agree with, why should they spend their money to fund the person's beliefs? Why should they make them even more famous, giving them an even bigger soapbox? If you aren't trolling, then answer those questions. Do you ever stand up for your beliefs?
